| HISTORY The Association of Desk and Derrick Clubs is an international organization, which was founded in 1951 and now consists of 74 affiliated clubs located throughout the United States and Canada. The first Desk and Derrick Club was formed in New Orleans in 1949. The Fort Worth Club was granted its charter on February 21, 1952. The Desk and Derrick Club of Fort Worth is in Region IV which includes the eastern and southern portions of the state of Texas, bounded on the west by the westerly boundary lines of Clay, Archer, Young, Palo Pinto, Erath Bosque, Coryell, Bell, Williamson, Travis, Hays and Comal Counties and on the north by the northerly boundary lines of Bexas, Medina, Uvalde, and Kinney Counties. |
| CLUB PURPOSE The purpose of the Association shall be to promote the education and professional development of individuals employed in or affiliated with the petroleum, energy, and allied industries. |
| CLUB MEETINGS Our meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month, unless otherwise stated. The meetings are at the Fort Worth Petroleum Club, (777 Main Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102-5361) at a cost of $19.81 to members and non-members; dinner begins at 5:30 p.m.. The program and business meeting usually ends prior to 7:30 p.m. Reservations can be made, by emailing to : ddftwclub@yahoo.com before 10:00 a.m. on the Monday prior to the meeting. |
